Bodega Red Potatoes…almost in the ground…

The Bodega Red Potatoes are finally in my hands. After some shucking and jiving I’ve got them!

DSCN6241They are an on Slow Food’s Ark of Taste and you can read more about all their history here.

DSCN6244Among the many things I have been collecting and “hoarding” according to the hubs is this roll of wire that I found at Re-Store for pennies on the dollar.

DSCN6249It is the perfect material for making the vertical potato cages I have envisioned.

DSCN6245The hubs brought home his wire cutters and set off making beautiful cages for the garden.

DSCN6247Not just one but 2!

The long awaited (by me) manifestation of compost and mulch is arriving in 2 days!

Yay!

We are finally going to have some plants in the ground!
